- ELIGIBILITY
- QUALIFICATIONS
- FSc (Pre-Medical) Physics, Chemistry & Biology with minimum 70% marks except candidates from Balochistan, Sind, (District Tharparker, Omar Kot) Northern Areas, Azad Kashmir and FATA having domicile and local certificates who can apply with 65% marks. Senior Cambridge/GCE "O" level pass (English being a compulsory) in five subjects plus "A" level passed in Biology, Physics and Chemistry with minimum grade C/6.
- NOTE1:
- Candidates possessing foreign qualifications such as Senior Cambridge or 'O' level and 'A' level etc will be required to obtain equivalence certificate and conversion of marks from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Ministry of Education, Islamabad and attach it with the application form.
- NOTE2:
- Candidates who have passed FSc Part-I Examination and appearing in FSc Part-II Examination in various Education Board may apply subject to the provision of "Hope" certificate by the PRINCIPALS of their colleges that they will pass the said examination with aggregate of minimum 70% marks and 65% marks in case of candidates from Balochistan, Sind, (District Tharparker, Omar Kot) Northern Areas, Azad Kashmir and FATA.
- NOTE3:
- Candidates appearing in supplementary examination from any board of education are not eligible.

17 - 21 Years on 1st November 2008 relax able for three months both in upper and lower age limit under special circumstances.
MARITAL STATUS
- Unmarried.
NATIONALITY
- Male/Female citizens of Pakistan and having domiciles of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Northern Areas. If Pakistani candidates are possessing dual nationality, they must cancel second nationality before joining the Army. In case they fail to cancel their second nationality cancelled within one year of joining Army Medical College, they will be discharged from the College Roll. They will not only forego their commission but will also be liable to pay the bond money, training and all other charges incurred upon them.

- MINIMUM HEIGHT
Male. 5' - 4" (162.5 cm) Female. 5' - 2" (157.5 cm)
- Vision Standard (Males/Females)
I. Distance Vision. With glasses. 6/9, 6/12.
II. Near Vision. J2, J7 or N8, N12 with or without glasses.
III. Average Weight Standard. Should not exceed standard weight for given
age and height (Physical Standard chart for weight and height is available
with all Army Selection and Recruitment Centre (AS&RCs).

- INELIGIBILITIES
- Twice screened out or twice rejected by ISSB/GHQ Selection Board.
- Previously declared medically unfit by an Appeal Medical Board/Combined Medical Board (CMB) for Army, Navy, and PAF.
- Released or discharged or withdrawn from the Armed Forces or any of its training establishments on grounds of inefficiency or indiscipline.
- Convicted by Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude.

- SELECTION PROCEDURE
- ONLINE Registration through Internet/at AS&RCs/AS&ROs with effect from 07th July to 27 July 2008.
- Academic Written test will be based on multiple choice questions from English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at following Recruitment Centers from 04th Aug to 09th Aug 2008.

Candidates registered at AS&RC Gilgit will appear for Written test at AS&RC Rawalpindi. Candidates can also be registered on the day of written test at the AS&RC.
- All candidates will deposit the following documents with Army Selection and Recruitment Offices (AS&ROs) before the written test:-
- Six attested copies of passport size photographs.
- 2 x attested photocopies of Matric Certificate. In case of 'O' Level/'A' Level, Submission of Equivalence certificate issued by IBCC is mandatory.
- 2x attested photocopies of FSc Part-I (Pre-Medical) Detail Marks Sheet and "Hope" certificate from Principal of college that the candidate will get minimum 70% marks in FSc Part-II examination.
- Candidates who have already cleared Fsc Part-II (Pre-Medical) will produce attested 4 x Photocopies of Detail Marks Sheets (DMC).
- 2x attested photocopies of National Identity Card issued by NADRA or Form 'B'.
- Candidates from Balochistan, Sind, (District Tharparker, Omar Kot) Northern Areas, Azad Kashmir and FATA will provide photo copy of their Domicile/Local Certificate duly attested.
- Candidates will deposit Rs.200.00 in cash with the representative of Selection and Recruitment Office on the day of written test and crossed postal orders of Rs.100.00 in favour of Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA), GHQ Rawalpindi. Pay Order/Bank Draft will not be accepted.
- The candidates declared successful in written test will have physical and medical tests at Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs/AS&ROs)
- Intelligence test, Personality profile and Interviews of successful candidates will be held by the GHQ Selection Board at Army Medical College, Rawalpindi for which separate call letters shall be issued.

- Military Training.
22 x Weeks Basic Military Training (BMT) at PMA Kakul (for male Cadets) and at AFPGMI Rawalpindi (for female Cadets) after completion of final Professional examination.

- BOND.
Finally selected candidates will be required to sign a bond to serve the Army for a minimum period of 13 years. The applicability of bond will commence on completion of MBBS/BDS Degree Course at Army Medical College.

|
- COMMISSION.

On completion of MBBS/BDS Studies at AM College and military training at
Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, cadets will be commissioned in the Pakistan Army as Captain.
